The courses for children and youth aged 7 to 17 years will take place from Monday, 31 October to Friday, 4 November. All 30 courses will be separated by gender.

The autumn holiday programme will be held for the seventh time. In recent years, the vaulting and self-defence courses were popular amongst the girls. The boys were particularly interested in the robotics course and the men´s cooking classes. These courses will take place again. Some new activities such as “Light-Doodle – Fascinating Light Shows in the Darkness” or “Yoga” for girls and boys will add to the holiday programme.

Furthermore, the girls can discover their skills and talents in the workshops “Mermaid - My Dream” or “Painting Girls´ Faces in Acrylic”. The film project “Superheroes” and the pirate ship building workshops are directed at boys.

The principles of the gender specific treatment and inclusion form the basis of the holiday programme, which includes 15 courses for girls and 15 courses for boys. This implies that the courses can be visited by children and young people, regardless of language, origin, religion, physical limitations or financial resources. The courses provide a safe environment, which allows to be "a typical boy" or "a typical girl". Boys and girls can discover new interests and try their skills without fear or shame of the opposite sex.

Online enrolment is available at www.feuerrot-neonblau.de from Friday, 30 September: 12 pm till Friday, 21 October. The enrolment is also possible at the city youth information centre (Herrenkellergasse 1) on Tuesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm and on Fridays from 12 pm to 2 pm.
