Refugee-help-portal

The new asylum website launched few weeks ago by the administrative district of Neu-Ulm has been supplemented with a refugee-help portal.

The new portal HelpTo can be accessed directly via the link nu.helpto.de or through the asylum website of the administrative district of Neu-Ulm www.landkreis.neu-ulm.de/de/asyl.html.

HelpTo brings together refugees, dedicated citizens, initiatives, organisations, municipalities and companies. Those interested can use the portal to offer active support to refugees - whether with material donations, voluntary help or work and accommodation opportunities.

"The portal enables a fast and non-bureaucratic coordination of donations and help. It is also a hub for citizens to get information on the aid for refugees ", says Thorsten Freudenberger, District Administrator.  "HelpTo is a perfect complement to our existing offer. Therefore, I hope that many people will use the portal."

The platform users can place their offers and requests in ten different categories: Donations, Support and Advice, Transport services, Leisure activities, Family and Kids, Language, Education and Science, Projects and Ideas, Employment and Living. An internal messaging system ensures a direct and secure communication between helpers and those seeking help. In addition, local initiatives and organisations can present themselves and network with each other on the portal.

HelpTo can be accessed directly via the link nu.helpto.de or through the asylum website of the administrative district of Neu-Ulm www.landkreis.neu-ulm.de/de/asyl.html. HelpTo is free of charge. To use the website one has to register with a user name and an e-mail address.
