Mayser GmbH & Co. KG, with a location in Ulm and headquarters in Lindenberg in the Allgäu region, is a leading manufacturer of safety technology, foam technology and moulding, as well as headwear. The hat manufacturing company established in Ulm in 1800 has developed to become an innovative industrial enterprise with comprehensive expertise and four international subsidiaries in Europe, the USA and Asia. Today the group of companies collaborates with prestigious references in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and local public transport.

“Innovative by tradition”

Mayser develops solutions for tomorrow and thinks beyond the limits of existing solutions. The company’s products are tailored to social and technological change. Mayser is the worldwide leader for pressure sensitive anti-pinch sensors in automotive applications. In local public transport Mayser is Europe’s leading manufacturer of obstacle detection systems for rail vehicle and bus doors. The only ultrasonic sensor approved for personnel safety enables safe human-robot collaboration in the production lines of the future. For this development Mayser was runner-up for the 2017 Robotics Award.

Innovation and Progress

We are developing new ranges of applications for our core technologies, which currently include a non-touch pedestrian traffic light sensor.

Focus on the employee

People are at the focus of all economic and social activities within the family owned company. As a result, Mayser was a finalist for the “Grand Prix of SMEs”. We offer our employees a pleasant working atmosphere, flexible work hours, room for manoeuvre, and opportunities for continuing qualifications. Together we support social projects in the region, such as the “Aufschnaufhaus”, a temporary home for handicapped children in Ulm, and the aid association for children suffering from leukaemia and cancer.
