Ulm University of Applied Sciences lives up to its own high standards in the field of practice-oriented teaching and research on a scientific basis. 4,000 students can choose from about 21 Bachelor Degree Courses and 9 Master Degree Courses in the Departments for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mathematics, Natural and Economic Sciences, Computer Science, Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Production Engineering and Production Economics, as well as Mechatronics and Medical Engineering. The degree courses are very comprehensive, providing the graduates with multifaceted and long-lasting opportunities for their future careers. All the departments also offer dual study models in cooperation with regional companies.
Individual and International Approach
Students have many options for their individual qualification such as compulsory optional modules, foreign languages or key qualifications. The students and also the teaching and research staff benefit from more than 60 exchanges with partner universities worldwide. Several degree courses lead to international degrees. In addition International Engineering Programmes (IEP) of three months’ duration are offered to international students in the fields of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (IMEP), Computer Science/Engineering (ICEP), and Electrical Engineering (IEEP). The lectures are given in English and are accredited allowing the students to transfer credits back home.
Research and Development
Research and development projects in collaboration with industry and science – e.g. in the area of automation, energy engineering, medical engineering or service robotics – are highly valued at Ulm University of Applied Sciences. The Centre for Service Robotics, the Centre of Competence for Hydraulics, or the Automotive Centre with state-of-the art test benches provide perfect prerequisites.
